What is Roomy Africa?
Roomy Africa is a roommate matching platform for Lagos. We introduce people who are compatible enough to share a home: same areas, aligned budgets, overlapping move windows and matching household rules. Finding and renting the apartment itself stays with you.
Is Roomy Africa a property listing site?
Not yet. At this stage we are only matching people. Once the waitlist reaches critical mass in an area, we plan to point matched groups at suitable apartments. The matching comes first, always.
Do you handle rent, deposits or escrow?
Never. Roomy Africa does not collect rent, hold deposits, sign tenancies or process any housing payment. We connect people. The money moves between you, your housemate and your landlord, exactly as it does today.

Young professionals and fresh graduates in Lagos who are ready to move out, people relocating to Lagos, existing renters looking for a new arrangement, and residents with a spare room who want a compatible housemate.
How does the matching actually work?
You complete a structured profile: preferred areas, your personal contribution and total upfront, your move window, and your household expectations. We surface compatible people with clearly explained reasons. Introductions are mutual, and your contact details stay private until you accept.
When does it open, and where?
Lagos first, area by area. Waitlist seats get the first invites, so the earlier you join, the earlier you are in the matching pool for your neighbourhood.
